Landscape and Outdoor Amenities Masterplan
Taskforce Charter
Objective
Establish a taskforce to drive the development of a landscape and outdoor amenities masterplan in support of the DSRV Resort Mission Statement: “to provide an environment for a thriving seasonal 55+community.
Limitations
The Landscape and Outdoor Amenities Masterplan Taskforce has no personnel management or supervisory responsibilities as pertains to DSRV Resort staff or contractors.
Final decisions on resource selection, plan selection and budgeting will be made by the Board based on recommendations by the entire Taskforce.
Team Members
Taskforce members will be the Board, Resort Manager and up to five community members selected by the DSRV Resort Board and Manager. The emphasis for selection of the five non-Board members is on individuals with foundational knowledge relative to the anticipated needs of the landscaping and outdoor amenities project. Selected members must ensure they can consider the best interests of DSRV Resort Resort over any personal individual interests.
External Resource
The BOD and the Resort Manager will work through a bidding process to select a professional firm to assist us in the development of the Masterplan.
Duties
Duties of the Taskforce may include, but are not limited to:
- Participation in meetings regarding the development of a masterplan.
- Conduct research as needed.
- Provide input to the Resource on the potential needs of DSRV Resort for the next 10-20 years.
- Provide input to the Resource on potential solutions for the next 10-20 years.
- Review and revise plans submitted by the selected Resource.
- Recommend adoption of plans and budgets for the Masterplan.
- Assist the DSRV Resort Board and Management Team in preparing and communicating community updates on the master-planning process.
- Function as project experts and champions within the community for developed plans and project activities.
Authority
The Taskforce is in a strictly advisory role to the DSRV Resort Board and thus can only recommend action and decisions.
